Tenth card of Christmas

Another tag we are using as a Christmas card. It can be hung on the tree also.  Mail the card or just put it on the gift. Add other little tags that coordinate with the card.  One tag could have the year and the other tag could have a message.  Be eventful and change things up.  Alter your cards. It surprises people!!!

Ninth card of Christmas

This card is going to be a ornament on the tree.  Give someone a useful card that they can display and then they won't throw it away.
On the back you can write what ever you want.  You can put the year on the front or back.  It is a nice keepsake.  This ornament is coloured and embossed like the card with the snowflakes.

Eigth Card of Christmas

Snow man card to match the snowman tag.  Snow flakes at right corner are stamped, embossed and then cut out and pearls added.
Trees are stamped on the card stock with a different colour of ink dark than the card stock.  Snowflakes have glitter on them as well as being stamped with the same ink.  Jackie has stitched the outside of the brown paper. The ribbon and pearls add a little something to the card that makes it looked polished.  It is the added touches that make the card special.

Seventh Day card of Christmas

This is my favorite snowman from Stampin up. It was coloured with markers.  The dots that distress the card is a technique Jackie will teach in a class.
Love this card!!!

Sixth Christmas Card

Magical snowman card.  This stamp comes in pieces so you can make your own snowman. He has been water coloured, cut out and glued on. Snow flakes stamped and embossed on the card. Ribbon adding a perfect touch.

Fifth Card of Christmas

This card has been embossed with a poinsettia embossing folder. It really gives the card a lot of texture. The two frames have Christmas paper in them.  Santa has been coloured with water colours cut out and placed on the card.  The fur on his clothes actually looks fluffy.
The card sparkles with gold.

The inside of the card has water coloured toys and some Magical words. A lot of detail to this card inside and out.

Fourth Card of Christmas

Isn't this the cutest little girl that is stamped on this card.  I just
love her!!!!  She is water coloured and the paper is distressed to make it look vintage.
On the right is the inside of the card. Very nice with the rough edges. Red and pinks look so nice together.

The third card of Christmas

These little forest animals are the cutest.  No stranger to us Canadians!!! We see them all the time out and about.  The little animals are painted with water colours on water colour paper, cut out individually and glued on the card.  At the right side of the card is the word Brrr that has been stamped on the card and makes it look like a printed paper. Jackie has used some different shapes here to give it interest. The ribbon with a bow adds that special touch.

The second card of Christmas

This is the same stamp as the first Christmas card but Jackie made it a night scene.  She added the sleigh, horse and christmas tree stamp which added a little more life to the scene.  The picture of course doesn't do it justice. It is very beautiful in real light.  Snow is falling making it a home you want to visit on a cold winter night.  I think of people drinking eggnog and singing Christmas carols in this house. Of course there is a log fire burning hence the chimney with smoke coming from it.

The gift tag we had as a make and take for MS fundraiser

This tag was made by the ladies who came to the fundraiser.
The tag was cut out with a diecut and big shot.  Plastic that we saved from containers, being the frugal crafters we are.  It cut out with the same die cut and was embossed with a swiss dot embossing folder to make it look like snow on over the picture.  Adding the plastic with dots gives the tag a bit of demention.  The dots were inked with stazon ink in white.  The ink on plastic can not be water based ink.  The background of the tag was stamped with fur trees. The reindeer was coloured on white paper and cut out.  Snow flakes were stamped and then embossed.  Little pearls were added to give it that added touch. The tag can be used as a tree ornament.  Add the year and you have a memento to keep and put on every year.

12 cards of Christmas

This is the first card in our 12 days of Christmas.
Very snowy glittery card.  I just love how Jackie added the snow to the trees.  The stamping more than once on the trees gives it demention. The satin ribbon and bow adds a pretty touch to the scene.

Haunted house Last one for the season.

This house was from the slums until Jackie dressed it up with a stamp and some glitter

With pumpkins made especially for this centerpiece

Coffin treats

Wow!!  These coffin treats are outstanding.  Jackie has added coloured paper to the black coffins with ribbon and tags
Now you can see the black sides of the coffins.  The tags are a stamp she embossed with glitter

Witch Hat makes a nice hat for child or centerpiece for table.

A hat that Jackie made last week. It is big enough to fit a child. Just love the flowers on the hat.  A different idea than using a plain black witches hat. Put in center of your table for a Halloween gathering.

Add the hat with to haunted house. (The colour doesn't show up properly on the computer but they are both grey.)  Lets see what Jackie comes up with for a centerpiece with this two 3d paper crafts.  You can purchase the die cuts from us to make your own houses or hats.
We are only getting started with Haunting you!!!

We have a big announcement

I am now a consultant for Close To My Heart Scrap booking company.  Jackie and I are very excited about this decision. We loved the tools, paper, inks and stamps and well, when you are going to buy them for yourself, you might as well sell them too.
We are holding a free scrap booking club.  We will supply the articles needed for the class.  A hostess of the month will be drawn. She gets to suggest what we make the next month, and she gets the hostess gift.
You, only have to agree to buy $25 per month when we meet. That is for you to keep not for the nights paper craft.
We have supplies on hand.  Cricut, Big shot, and dies to cut.  Embossing folders and other things for you to use.
You will need essential tools so that we can accomplish making the project at the class.  You may around have the tools you need or you can purchase them from CTMH.

Please contact us to join the club.  Dianne at  dipayne@start.ca or  Jackie at  bjvandaele@sympatico.ca

Having fun with food colouring

A week ago Gavin and I made poison potions for Halloween.  We made potions in bottles adding food colouring. One we added coffee to because he wanted a brown one for you know what.  Now to make labels for the bottles.  We are making a disappearing potion for sisters.  Gavin loves his sister but he thought the idea was fun. You wouldn't believe how much fun children have playing with food colouring.  We have put it in milk and cereal.  It does come out what ever colour the food dye is so be prepared parents ore prepare parents that they might see a colour they aren't used to if changing a diaper.  Happen to one parent!!!
A last week the older girls made potions and were so excited about doing it.  They put different colours together to see what they came up with.  Labels for those bottles now.

The Verry Scarry Haunted houses

Pretty scarey (right). Not yet. More scariness to come

Scarey Haunted house

Nice fall colours with a bit of whimsy.

Another cottage type house with fall decorations.

The scarey Haunted house from Cricut.  It was a big job to glue together.  Complicated for me who is cartridge illiterate.  I use the computer and the cricut.  Jackie used cartridges.  I had one side of the wall larger than the other and decided to let her cut this one.

Little tags as an add on.

Add caption

Different tab for the top

This is another option for a tab name showing how you can change it up.

more pictures

More pictures of how the treat bag is put together.
The front was embossed with a spider web folder.
The card was sponged and die cuts added.
You can see where the treat bag folds in the middle to make a container for a bag of treats.

Treat bag gift card

Jackie put together this gift card for treats.
Found this free svg file from http://www.mygrafico.com. It is a very generous freebie as it produce a great treat bag.

Card needs to be tied up at the top with ribbon or twine yet.
Want to put my treats in.  To excited to show the card/tag
Remember you can make this type of pkg and use it for any occasion.  Just change the front.

Saturday, September 24/11

Jackie had a Beavers float in the Thorndale fair. Very crafty she is!!! She made masks for the beavers to wear.

I stayed inside and cut out die cuts for Halloween with my Cricut and Scal.
It wasn't as much fun as I am sure Jackie's day was. Little Beavers, Cubs and Scouts riding on the float she and husband Brian made. Can't wait for pictures of that.

HIP HIP HOORAY We are selling die cuts
CLASSES Will be offered.
SCRAP DAYS Will be offered

Welcome to our Blog. It's all about Scrapbooking, Card making and Paper Creations. Well, really it is going to be one big place for Home Made

Jackie was out with the Kintore Beavers yesterday. She had a float in the Thorndale parade. Very crafty she is. She made masks for the kids to wear. Pictures to follow.
I cut out diecuts with my trusty Cricut and Sure Cuts a lot program. Love both of
them.

I learned a tip yesterday when cutting out on a warn mat. A mat I bought not long ago and not that many cuts on it. I will also share that with you.
