Jackie spends most of her time volunteering for the Kintore Beavers. She is a big part of the Scouts in Kintore and Thamesford. We need to support the Scouts as they give children something to and look forward to. It isn't cheap to belong to a group. All of the leaders are volunteers and they work like Beavers. If you can volunteer time for these groups or donate something to them it would be greatly appreciated.
Last weekend there was a Beaver Burr at the Scout hall in Thamesford. It was attended by 40 or more children and 20 volunteers to help. They did out door and indoor activities and crafts. Had lunch and snacks.
Brian, Jackie's husband is a Scout leader for Kintore and Amarlee (sells Stamping up) is a Cub leader for Thamesford. I know these people personally. There are more but don't want to forget anyone so I won't name them.
Without the work of these volunteers there would be no group. The Beaver burr was attended by about 20 something beavers last year. Can you believe the increase in children coming this year. The volunteers have to be doing something right.
