Well I noticed that we started this page but have not posted anything in here yet. Well today I have a something I thought I would share with you that I had my Beavers make this past Easter. I know its on old one but this craft is very cost effective and uses 2l pop bottles. First cut the top of the bottle off, so you are left with about 1/3 of the bottom left. You will be using the bottom part of the bottle for the basket Next you will want to put on a handle, which is just a 2" wide strip of fun foam about 10" or so long. Staple it to the sides of the bottle. Next you will need to have white glue and cotton balls, which you can buy from the dollar store. You can either glue the cotton ball on the way it is or pull it apart a little. Once you have the bottle covered let it dry. While it's drying you can make the head out of a Styrofoam egg, which can also be purchased at the dollar store. To make the bunny head I first hot glued the egg to the basket and than I glued on cotton balls. I used small pieces of fun foam for the nose, ears and whiskers and googly eyes for the eyes. You can also use pipe cleaners for the whiskers
For the lamb I just hot glued the egg to the basket. I added a small amount of cotton to the top of the egg. I used scrap pieces of fun foam for the ears and nose and googly eyes for the eyes. This craft if very easy and doesn't require a lot of money. My Beavers loved the idea of making their own basket and using it on the egg hunt.
