A look at last years Easter baskets

Jackie made these baskets for her children's teachers last Easter.  She filled them with home made goodies. Can't wait to see what she comes up with for the Easter.  

Selling the Boxes posted already

We are selling the boxes with chocolates in them for $7.00  Box itself is $5.00  This is an introductory price.
We will be having more items for Easter to sell. You will be able to find the boxes and High lights hair salon on main Street in Thamesford this week.  To order a box please email me at dpayne@start.ca  We can make the boxes with boys interests on the top.  Coming out with one that  has a Harley stamp.  These boxes are good for birthdays as well.

The 2 sides and front of the box with ivory embossed paper and the rest of the box is red.  Beautiful box for someone to recieve chocolate in or diamonds.

This is a beautiful hand made teepee for a girl. Made from Hailey Bugs closet.  Her Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150622175619052&set=a.10150399747899052.415138.359354109051&type=1&theater   She also makes patterns and sews clothes for children. Amazing work!!!!  The dress in the picture is a pattern from Hailey Bugs Closet.

There is a large difference in price when making your own or even buying hand made.  We are trying to be Frugal Crafters to show you the difference.  Read the pattern for the handmade teepee and then compare the price it would cost you to make it compared to ready made. DIY is obviously more economical but not always possible. A person who has to by ready made should understand and appreciate the price of hand made items. Those that make handmade and sell do not get their time out of the item in most cases.  It is usually because they love doing what they do that they make and sell items.
                                                        

Vintage valentine box

Side of the box. Jackie stamped the butterfly and made 3 of them to put together to make it 3d.  She stamped the back so it  would look real.  Roses again made with paper quilling. The girl stamped colour with water colours and red glitter on the heart.

This is the sweetest little girl I have ever seen.  I fell right in love with it.   I told Jackie I want 10 of them.  This picture does not do it justice. You must go into High lights hair salon in Thamesford to see the box. I think every little girl should have one.  It will hold keep sakes, jewellery and of course chocolates.Make sure order one so you aren't disappointed on Feb 14th.

  

Red rose box

First box in our collection.  Jackie has decorated it with paper roses and leaves.  I cut out the box with my cricut and a file from Svg cuts.  The patterned paper is the box and the red on the sides is a decoration.  The red roses are actually paper quilling.  The roses are so real looking. The pattern for these roses is in the cartridge Close to my heart sells.

Crop, stop & Shop

We will be there representing Close to my Heart Scrap booking 

     
We will supplies for sale at the Crop.  Paper, inks, stamps and other items. We also cut out diecuts.
There will be two cricut machines at the show as well as a big shot and die cuts and embossing folders.
You may purchase a die cut and have it cut while you are there.  The CRICUT® ART PHILOSOPHY COLLECTION CARTRIDGE, from Close to my heart is going to be available for you to see and you can get the die cuts from it..

Ikea Hackers

I found Ikea Hackers on pinterest. So amazing what they have done with parts of Ikea product, adding other things to make something totally not for what it is selling for. The Island I sent a link to is what I always wanted in a craft room to put things in below while you are sitting high drinking margarita's. I think my card making might be better. So glad Jackie is the designer.

Crop, Stop and Shop

CROP, STOP & SHOP JKCS is hosting our 8th annual Crop, Stop & Shop event on Friday, March 2nd and Saturday March 3rd. We have extended our cropping hours as you have requested. Friday from 1-11pm and Saturday from 8am-8pm . This is a fantastic time to gather together with fellow croppers to preserve your precious memories and get lots of cards made. Our vendors will be on site to show you the latest products and offer you some great make and takes. Tickets are $30 for Friday, $40 for Saturday or $60 for both. Refreshments and a light snack will be provided Friday, while refreshments, lunch and dinner will be provided Saturday. This promises to be a weekend you won’t want to miss! This event is in Woodstock at the JKCSchool. More info on location coming. Watch for our class projects to sign up for. Close to my Heart will be there with Jackie and Dianne frugal crafters. (Me, Dianne maybe not in body). This is my vacation to florida that I was to attend a connection for Close to my Heart. We will have CTMH product to buy as well as classes to make things. Our new catalogues comes out in Feb. We are going to have paper, inks and stamps to sell. Autism, ADHD and ADD

A friend had this on her fb. There are increased rates of Autism, ADHD and ADD. I have seen children in my care with with some form of these. There parents have a long road as well as the children. Please post just to give support to anyone you might know who is suffering from one of them. It is Special Education week & Autism & ADHD & ADD Awareness month, and this is in honor of all children who struggle every day,
